Avalanche claim Matt Nieto off waivers from Sharks

Matt Nieto has a new home.
The winger was plucked off the waiver wire by the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday after being placed there by the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday.
Nieto managed only two points in 16 games with the Sharks this season after posting eight goals and 17 points for the club in 2015-16.
He was a second-round pick of the Sharks in 2011.
