Set to become a free-agent after playing out his one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, Greg Hardy is facing some uncertainty heading into the offseason.

Dez Bryant became the first prominent Cowboys player to speak out in support of the defensive end in a recent interview with Vinnie Iyer of the Sporting News.

"You see guys perform at a high level around him, and that's what he brings to the defense," Bryant said. "I know I would love to see Greg back with us. He's a great teammate. I love him. I hope we can get him back.

"Greg Hardy loves the game. Anybody who loves the game, I love him."

Hardy missed the first four games of the regular season while serving a suspension for his role in a 2014 domestic violence incident. The initial punishment was a 10-game ban for conduct detrimental to the league, but a successful appeal later resulted in a significant reduction.

The 27-year-old would go on to appear in each of the Dallas' 12 games after making his debut in Week 5, recording six sacks, 35 tackles, and one interception over that span.

Jerry Jones said early in the season that he wanted to sign Hardy to a long-term deal, but multiple behavior issues have since cast some doubt on whether the Cowboys owner still considers him a fit with the team going forward.
