Panthers' Kelvin Benjamin sidelined with another hamstring injury

David Butler II / USA TODAY Sports

After getting past a recent hamstring injury that forced him to miss a significant portion of OTAs, Carolina Panthers receiver Kelvin Benjamin has returned to the sideline with the same problem.

Benjamin wasn't on the practice field Wednesday because of another hamstring issue, although this one was on the other leg, according to Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer.

He will also sit out Thursday's practice, meaning the next time Benjamin hits the field will be for training camp.

While the injury appears to be minor, and the Panthers are likely holding him out for precautionary reasons, the injuries have cost Benjamin significant practice time this spring.

The second-year receiver was one of the few reliable targets Cam Newton had to work with last season, and the Panthers will no doubt be hoping he's healthy for training camp so the pair can build on the chemistry they developed in 2014.
