Panthers' Kelvin Benjamin returns to practice

After a hamstring injury forced him to miss the past two weeks of OTAs, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin made his return to the practice field this week.

Sitting out some team workout sessions appears to have been precautionary, as the second-year wideout should be cleared to participate in Carolina's mandatory minicamp next week.

The Panthers former first-round pick will be looking to build upon his strong rookie season in which he hauled in 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns.

With 2015 second-rounder Devin Funchess now also in the mix, the Panthers boast one of the NFL's most imposing young receiver tandems for star quarterback Cam Newton to target.
