Giants' Robert Ayers carted off during OTAs; tests reportedly reveal no major damage

New York Giants defensive end Robert Ayers was carted off during Wednesday's organized team activities with knee and ankle injuries, according to Newsday's Tom Rock.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports One reports that tests on both Ayers' knee and ankle revealed no significant damage, which is obviously good news for the Giants.

Ayers reportedly tried to walk off the field but succumbed to the injury and was carted off.

The 29-year-old recorded 22 tackles, five sacks, and a forced fumble in 12 games with the Giants last season. He signed a two-year, $4-million contract with the team in April 2014 after spending the first five years of his career with the Denver Broncos.
