The Green Bay Packers have added yet another wide receiver in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, selecting Ty Montgomery out of Stanford with the 94th overall pick.
Opting for a wideout at this point comes as somewhat of a surprise given the elite receiver talent already on their roster, but Montgomery's value will likely come on special teams to start.
His game-breaking ability on returns could see him earn the full-time job on the Packers' kick and punt teams from day one.

Strengths
- Good playmaking ability in the open field. Makes defenders miss and picks up yardage after the catch.
- Very effective on screens and hitches.
- Excellent return man. Had two punt returns for touchdowns in 2014 and two kick returns for scores in 2013.
- Played all over the field at Stanford. Even saw time as a running back in wildcat formations.
- Solid run blocker.
Weaknesses
- Prone to drops, especially on plays over the middle in traffic.
- Uses his body too much when trying to pull in passes, possesses mediocre hands.
- Average numbers in 2014 as a receiver. Only had 604 yards and three touchdowns.
- Struggles getting in and out of his breaks sharply. More of a straight-line runner, but at the same time, not a true deep threat.
