The San Francisco 49ers and Desmond Bishop have agreed to a one-year deal that will see the veteran linebacker return to the team.

Bishop, 30, appeared in two games for the 49ers late last season and is no lock to the team, but should see his chances greatly boosted by the recent retirements of Patrick Willis and Chris Borland.

The 49ers are also reportedly interested in adding another veteran linebacker to their depth chart. Options include Lance Briggs, Erin Henderson or Philip Wheeler.
