Report: Lions won't pursue tampering charges against Dolphins for Suh deal

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets filed tampering charges against the New England Patriots on Tuesday, but it doesn't look like the Detroit Lions will be doing the same with the Miami Dolphins.

Detroit isn't expected to cry tampering over Miami's signing of Ndamukong Suh, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

There were questions as to whether or not the Dolphins began talking to Suh before the official free-agent negotiating period began.

Suh ultimately signed a six-year, $114-million deal with Miami, about 24 hours into free agency.

Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said recently that he was happy he won't have that contract on his books, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised Detroit won't be contesting matters.
