Report: Connor Barwin restructures contract

The Philadelphia Eagles will retain Connor Barwin after the standout linebacker reportedly restructured his contract, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Barwin is signed through 2018 and carried a cap hit of $7 million entering the 2015 campaign, per Spotrac.

The 28-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, recording 14.5 sacks, 64 tackles and two forced fumbles en route to being to his first Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors.

The versatile linebacker will be central to the Eagles' revamped defense that features one of the best trios in the league, alongside Mychal Kendricks and newly-acquired Kiko Alonso.
