Detroit Lions

Lions get lucky against Vikings. Thanks to two second-quarter interceptions, the Lions escaped with a 16-14 victory over the Vikings on Sunday to pull into a first-place tie with the Packers. Lions left guard Rob Sims admitted afterward the team got lucky.

Teammates put faith in Lucas. The loss of right tackle LaAdrian Waddle is a tough blow for the Lions, but teammates are confident rookie Cornelius Lucas can step up in his absence

Defense running the show. The Lions will go as far as their defense allows them, wrote Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com.

Green Bay Packers

Rodgers looks human in loss to Bills. After a string of impressive performances, Aaron Rodgers fell back down to earth Sunday, posting one of the worst statistical performances of his career.

Hall of Famer Thurston dies. Former Packers guard Fuzzy Thurston, who was a member of the legendary Green Bay teams of the 1960s, passed away Sunday at the age of 80.

Minnesota Vikings

Vikings haven't lost confidence in Walsh. Despite misfiring on five of his past six attempts, kicker Blair Walsh still has the support of his team.

Bridgewater progressing. The Vikings didn't come away with a win Sunday, but rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater continued to show signs of progress.

Chicago Bears

Cutler reportedly fuming over Kromer remarks. Jay Cutler told reporters that the situation between him and offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer was a "dead issue," but according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, all is not well behind closed doors.

Conte doubtful. The Bears will likely be without Chris Conte for Monday's game against the New Orleans Saints as he continues to recover from a back injury.

Bears face tough test. The Bears will have their work cut out for them Monday against the NFL's third-best offense.
