Seahawks' Pete Carroll says defeating Cardinals the 'best feeling we've had all year'

The Seattle Seahawks' defense returned to its dominant form Sunday, holding the Arizona Cardinals to a season-low 204 yards of total offense en route to a 19-3 victory.

The win pulled the Seahawks within two games of the Cardinals in the NFC West, and left them feeling pretty good about themselves.

"It was the best feeling we've had all year," head coach Pete Carroll said, according to Seahawks.com. "The best sense for one another and the focus and the intensity, and just the feeling was really on today. It was obvious."

The Seahawks face the Cardinals again in Week 16, but have two crucial divisional matchups against the San Francisco 49ers before then that will go a long way towards deciding the landscape of the NFC West.

Carroll's club might be finding its groove at the perfect time.

"I thought Kam (Chancellor) and Richard (Sherman) and Mike Bennett, some of the guys, really just kind of touched other guys during the week and made sure that everybody was going to go," Carroll said, "and it just felt like this was the first really big-time-together game that we've played."
