The Baltimore Ravens rolled to a 38-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon, improving to 3-1 on the season.
It was a big night for Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith, who had a game-high seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns against his former team.
Here's what you need to know...
- Smith stiff-armed Panthers safety Roman Harper for his first catch of the day. Then, in the second quarter, he caught a tipped pass for a 61-yard touchdown.
- Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.
- Panthers fullback Richie Brockel also left the game with an ankle injury.
- Panthers quarterback Cam Newton completed 14-of-25 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown, while Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco finished 22-of-31, passing for 327 yards and three touchdowns.
- Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb missed his third game of the season with a back injury. His absence came as bit a surprise, as he wasn't listed on the injury report all week.
- Panthers tight end Greg Olsen made his 114th consecutive appearance - the second-longest streak among active tight ends. He finished the game with two catches for 30 yards.
- Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was unable to finish the game and may have aggravated an existing groin injury.
