49ers' Vernon Davis listed as questionable for game Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers may be without veteran tight end Vernon Davis when they take on NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the team announced Saturday.

Davis has been held out of practice since Friday due to issues with his knee and ankle. Further complicating things for the Niners is that fellow tight end Vance McDonald may also miss the game.

It would be a huge loss for the 49ers if Davis can't go, as Arizona could take a commending two-game lead in the division with a victory.

If Davis can't play, expect Derek Carrier to start at tight end for the 49ers.
