Eric Ebron, who set the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end in the ACC, will be taking his talents to the Detroit Lions.

Ebron joins an electrifying offense that includes Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Golden Tate and Reggie Bush. The Motor City should see a lot of points in 2014.

The North Carolina product has been compared by some to Vernon Davis, as he has a potent blend of size and speed that should translate well to the pro game. Ebron averaged over 16 yards per catch in three years for the Tar Heels and moves very fluidly for someone at 6-foot-4 and 250 lbs.

Ebron posted a 4.6 40-yard dash time at the combine and will surely give linebackers coverage fits in his new home. He used his strong route-running ability and good hands to post 62 catches for nearly 1,000 yards in his final season at North Carolina.

The Lions are getting a polished athlete with big play capabilities that should make an immediate impact in the vertical passing game.
