Branton Sherman doesn't think his brother Richard wants to be traded away from the Seattle Seahawks, but he accepts that it's a possibility in the business world of the NFL.

The older Sherman told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that his NFLer brother told him he enjoys being the center of attention and having the football world debate his value because he uses it all as motivation.

"This will help get him back to the mental state from the first few years," Branton said. "He's my brother, I know him better than anyone. I know what it takes to get him going. And this is something he's going to thrive off of. He's going to make all the naysayers pay. Now, Seattle, they knew what they signed up for. They knew when they drafted him. There are no hard feelings. It's a business, you do what it takes to get him back to that, and I'm happy to see it."

The Seahawks have made it clear Sherman is available for the right price, but there is some speculation the team is shopping its star defender as a way of motivating him.

Based on his brother's comments, it just might work.
