Jaguars' Jared Odrick: Being released by Jaguars

Odrick will be released by the Jaguars on Monday, his management agency, DEC Management, reports.

Analysis:

Odrick signed a five-year, $42.5 million deal with Jacksonville in 2015, and although he went on to lead the Jags with 5.5 sacks that year, he missed 10 games this past season due to a back injury, limiting him to merely 12 tackles and one sack. In cutting the 29-year-old, Jacksonville is set to save $8.5 million in cap room, which will result in Odrick hitting the free agent market immediately upon his release.
