Patriots' Rob Gronkowski: True game-time decision Sunday

Gronkowski (chest) has reportedly progressed quite well over the last 24-48 hours, and is now considered a true game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Jets, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Earlier this week, it was expected that Gronkowski would be unavailable for Week 12. However, somewhat surprisingly, the star tight end subsequently participated at practice in a limited basis throughout the week. He was ultimately deemed questionable in the team's injury report. It now appears that he does indeed have a realistic opportunity to take the field Sunday. Even if he does however, it is unclear how extensive his role will be given the nature of his recent chest injury. Although he had a quiet performance filling in for Week 11, Martellus Bennett will presumably see an expanded role if Gronkowski is unable to go.
