Redskins' Jordan Reed: Practices Wednesday

Reed (concussion) took part in Wednesday's practice, Liz Clarke of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Working his way through his fifth known concussion, Reed's return to practice is a positive step, but individual drills will be the extent of his current workload, as mandated under the league's protocol for head injuries. He'll likely require clearance soon from an independent neurologist in order to join his teammates on Thursday's flight to London. In the end, he appears set to cede the starting tight end spot to Vernon Davis for the third consecutive game.
