Tomlin seeks 'clarity' about how Antonio Brown can celebrate

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin isn't against Antonio Brown's touchdown celebrations, but he does have a problem with the ensuing penalties.

The star wide receiver continued to entertain fans with his performance and enthusiasm Sunday, but received another excessive celebration penalty for his efforts. Tomlin likes the energy Brown brings, but would like to know how exactly he can show it.

"We have to get some clarity in terms of what's legal and what's not," Tomlin told reporters Tuesday. "I know he doesn't want it to be a negative thing. He wants to provide positive energy for us and entertain our fans. But we have to get detailed clarity on what he can and cannot do."

Tomlin recognized that big-personality stars like Brown and New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. get a little more attention from officials than others. But he doesn't want to use that as an excuse, and said adjustments need to be made by both parties.

"I'm not passing judgment on how they do their job," said Tomlin. "You've got to acknowledge some guys are followed more closely than others. You saw that (Monday) night with Beckham. AB is probably one of those guys and he probably needs to respond accordingly."
