Report: Steelers' Harrison informed meeting with NFL scheduled for Thursday

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison will meet with NFL investigators Thursday regarding PED allegations made by Al Jazeera America, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

It was previously reported that Harrison's meeting was scheduled for Aug. 30.

Harrison previously stated his vehement opposition to the meeting, calling commissioner Roger Goodell a crook, following a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It was previously mandated that Harrison, along with Green Bay Packers teammates Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers must meet with the investigators, or face a suspension. Harrison's meeting now adheres to the original timeline.
