Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2015, and now he's setting his sights on one of football's grandest records.

Dunlap recorded 55 tackles, 13.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 16 games last season, continuing to emerge as one of the NFL's most feared pass-rushers.

With some individual accolades already under his belt, Dunlap is aiming to break Michael Strahan's single-season sack record of 22.5, set in 2001.

"Along with the team goals, you've got to have your personal goals that will help you obtain the team goal," Dunlap said to ESPN's Coley Harvey. "My personal goals is to get that sack title at the end of the season, one, and then two, to get Strahan's record."

Dunlap is part of one of the NFL's most talented defensive lines, and realizes that 23 sacks may be hard to come by, with the Bengals possessing a number of quality edge-rushers and defensive tackles.

"It's hard to get (20 or more)," Dunlap said. "Most of the guys who get those 20 sacks, they're like the only one (on their team) at plus-10. When you've got three guys who can get 10 sacks and a nose tackle who can get five, it's spreading the wealth. So that's good for our team."

Regardless, Dunlap won't settle for anything less.

"I'm still shooting at that 23," he said.
