Wentz raves about early experience with Eagles' QBs

When Sam Bradford requested a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles due to the impending presence of a rookie quarterback, it didn't seem like a good sign for second-overall pick Carson Wentz.

Days before the Eagles OTAs opened up, Wentz and Bradford had yet to speak, but now that they've spent some time together, the quarterback situation doesn't look so dark.

"So far it’s been great," Wentz said, according to Michael David Smith from Pro Football Talk. "Working with Sam, working with Chase (Daniels), we’ve got an awesome quarterback room. A lot of really good discussions about the playbook, about life, it’s been great. And then on the practice field, they’ve been great for me. We have a really good relationship, so nothing but great things to say about those guys."

The Eagles quarterback competition is more open than originally intended, according to offensive coordinator Frank Reich, after the team initially named Bradford the 2016 starter.

While fellow rookies have been impressed by the speed in the NFL, Wentz insists he's yet to have his "Welcome to the NFL" moment in practice, according to Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
