Giants' Cruz says he's 100% healthy, hopes to be full go for training camp

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is healthy and eager to play after missing all of last season with a nagging calf injury.

Speaking with James Kratch of NJ.com on Friday, Cruz confirmed what Giants general manager Jerry Reese said a day earlier about him hopefully being full go for the start of training camp.

"I'm feeling great. Workouts have been going amazing. Each day, it gets better and better," Cruz said. "I'm excited to continue to train, continue that pattern, and see where it takes me.

"... I'm 100 percent. I feel good. No injuries, no ailments, nothing hurts, no pain."

Cruz hasn't played in a game since Oct. 12, 2014, when he tore the patellar tendon in his right knee. Both he and the Giants are optimistic his injury issues are behind him.

"This offseason program is using the OTA days as building blocks," Cruz said. "We're using these days to build up as we go along, and then when I go on my own (in the summer), my personal trainer will have a rapport with the Giants staff in order to keep that building block process going. By training camp, I should be pretty much ready to go."
