Giants GM expects Victor Cruz to be full go for training camp

The New York Giants anticipate having a healthy Victor Cruz back on the field soon.

During his pre-draft news conference Thursday, general manager Jerry Reese said the Giants' doctors feel good about Cruz's recovery from calf surgery, and he expects the veteran receiver to be full go for the start of training camp in July.

"He's probably more healthy now than he's been in the last two years," Reese said.

Cruz hasn't played in a game since Oct. 12, 2014, when he tore the patellar tendon in his right knee. He injured his calf last summer and missed the entire 2015 season as a result.
