The New York Knicks have officially signed point guard Tony Wroten, the team announced Wednesday.
Wroten was set to sign a three-year deal, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.
The 22-year-old was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers in December of last year. He was acquired by the franchise during the summer of 2013 in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.
In 30 appearances last season with the 76ers, Wroten averaged 16.9 points, 5.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. He sat a majority of the 2014-15 campaign after undergoing surgery to repair a partially-torn ACL in his right knee.
