Free-agent point guard Tony Wroten is finalizing a three-year contract with the New York Knicks, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The deal will reportedly come with minimal guarantees in the second and third seasons, according to Bleacher Report's Howard Beck.

Wroten, 22, was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers in December of last year. He was acquired by the franchise during the summer of 2013 in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In 30 appearances last season with the 76ers, Wroten averaged 16.9 points, 5.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. He sat a majority of the 2014-15 campaign, though, after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn ACL in his right knee.

Veteran Jose Calderon has started all but four games for New York this season at point guard, with Langston Galloway and rookie Jerian Grant serving as his backups. The team currently holds a 26-38 record, and is 6.5 games back of the Chicago Bulls for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
