Liverpool has turned its attention to north London as it reportedly lines up a potential bid to lure Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain away from Arsenal, sources tell ESPNFC.

The England international is reportedly among the list of players manager Jurgen Klopp is targeting ahead of his first summer in charge of the Merseyside outfit.

However, the report adds that Arsenal is keen to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has two years remaining on his current deal, to a new contract in an effort to stave off interest.

Considering the 22-year-old's struggles to lock-down a regular spot in the first team, Oxlade-Chamberlain may entertain offers from clubs such as Liverpool as long as the prospect of consistent playing time is a legitimate possibility.

The Arsenal wingers has also reportedly garnered interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has only managed to find the back of the net once during his 22 Premier League appearances. He is currently sidelined with a knee injury that's expected to keep him out for six-to-eight weeks.
