Pacers waive Chase Budinger

The Indiana Pacers waived little-used small forward Chase Budinger on Saturday, the team confirmed.
The 27-year-old Arizona alumnus, who was acquired by the Pacers last summer, averaged the least amount of minutes (14.9) of his seven-year career throughout his 49 games in Indiana.
He averaged 4.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and one assist while shooting only 29 percent from beyond the arc - well below his career mark of 35.4 percent.
Budinger's release makes room for the recently bought out Ty Lawson, who is reportedly set to join a now-crowded Pacers backcourt rotation.
The 6-foot-7 Budinger has career averages of 8.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and a cumulative PER of 13.2.
