Counterattack - Receive a Boone Against the Oilers
Here are the top DFS contrarian picks for Friday, March 4:
C Boone Jenner, Blue Jackets (vs. Oilers)
Jenner has gone point-less in three games, but he's still totaled 10 shots on goal over that stretch, and he's played 16 minutes in each game. He's still on the Blue Jackets' top line and their second power-play unit.
The Oilers have won three straight games, but they'll enter Friday night on the second half of a road to back-to-back. Jenner tallied five SOG against the New York Rangers in his most recent game. A similar total against the Oilers' significantly inferior goaltending should bring DFS rewards.

RW T.J. Oshie, Capitals (vs. Rangers)
After a four-game point-less slump, Oshie has one goal and three assists in his past two games. He's registered two or more shots on goal in each of his past eight games. While his minutes have slightly dropped of late, he's still averaging 18:23 of ice time over his past nine.
The Capitals will host a Rangers team on the second half of a back-to-back, and they may be able to avoid a banged up Henrik Lundqvist in their opponent's net. As seen below, backup Antti Raanta is fully capable, but he's still a downgrade from the former Vezina Trophy winner.

D Ryan McDonagh, Rangers (at Capitals)
Surprisingly quiet for much of the season on the offensive end, McDonagh has a goal and two assists over his past three games. He's totaled five SOG in that time, while playing no fewer than 22 minutes in each of his past four games since returning from injury.
While Capitals G Braden Holtby is considered the runaway leader for the Vezina Trophy this season, he has the eighth-worst 5v5 save percentage among goaltenders with at least 240 minutes played since February 1. He hasn't been as good as publicly perceived for some stretch of time, and DFS owners can capitalize by taking a high-priced defender who's likely to be faded by most.

G Antti Raanta, Rangers (at Capitals)
Raanta has won each of his past two starts, stopping 61 of 64 shots faced. The matchup against the Capitals potent offense is likely to come with a few goals allowed, but he'll also have the potential for a high save total. It's an adequate recipe for DFS success if his team can provide the goal support necessary for the win.
