Report: Redskins 'would take anything' for RG3
Washington Redskins president Bruce Allen all but confirmed Robert Griffin III's impending departure during a recent radio appearance, but the team is reportedly reluctant to let the quarterback walk away without getting anything in return.
The Redskins continue to hold out hope of trading Griffin and "would take anything" for him, even a seventh-round pick, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Florio previously reported that Griffin would be willing to restructure his contract for the right team before his $16.1-million salary becomes fully guaranteed on March 9, although it's more likely he'll be cut.
Allen told The Mighty 1090 in San Diego on Tuesday he believes Griffin is "going to have a choice of a couple teams that will let him excel in the future."
