Danilo Gallinari's injury woes continue to pile up, as the versatile forward is expected to miss a month of action due to an ankle injury, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Gallinari has two torn ligaments in his right ankle, the Nuggets confirmed Monday, while also adding that the team's leading scorer is dealing with a sprained ligament as well.

Gallinari was already expected to miss at least two weeks after suffering the ankle injury in Friday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks - the latest in an unfortunately long list of injury setbacks for the 27-year-old.

Prior to this setback, Gallinari was putting together his best statistical campaign, averaging 19.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 36.4 percent from long range.

His 19.2 PER for 2015-16 is the highest in his eight-year career.

The Nuggets hold a 23-37 record and sit six games out of playoff position in the Western Conference.
