Flyers' Gostisbehere pushes point streak to 10, matches club rookie record
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere is providing offense like no Flyers' rookie has done in some time.
With an assist on Wayne Simmonds' 20th goal of the year against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, the 22-year-old pushed his current point streak to 10 games. The streak ties him with Mikael Renberg for the longest by a Flyers rookie.

The helper also pushed Gostisbehere's assist streak to nine games, making it the longest such streak since Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and teammate Claude Giroux did so during the 2013-14 season.

Gostisbehere continues to make a case for the Calder Trophy as his 29th point slots him fifth among all first-year players. Meanwhile, his 0.83 points per game puts him second among all rookies behind only Chicago Blackhawks forward Artemi Panarin.
