Report: Eric Gordon to miss 4-6 weeks with fractured finger

New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured finger, according to Scott Kushner of the New Orleans Advocate.

Gordon fractured the finger during Tuesday night's win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, leaving the game late in the third quarter.

The 27-year-old has dealt with a long list of injuries throughout his career, having never played in a full season.

The injury comes at a poor time for the Pelicans, who have been reportedly shopping the Indiana native. It is now unlikely that New Orleans will be able to showcase Gordon again before the Feb. 18 trade deadline.

With New Orleans without their starting shooting guard, Jrue Holiday could re-enter the starting lineup, joining Tyreke Evans as his backcourt mate.

At 14-27 and four games back of the No. 8 spot in the West, the loss of Gordon won't make the Pelicans' road to the postseason any easier.
