Notre Dame cornerback KeiVarae Russell told Sports Illustrated on Monday that he will enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

"I'm ready to fulfill my dream and help out my family and do other things I wanted to do in my life," Russell said.

Russell, a three-year starter, finished this season with 60 tackles and two interceptions. He missed the final two games of the season after he broke his leg against Boston College.

Russell is a senior, but he missed the 2014 season due to an academic honor code violation.

He told Sports Illustrated he believes he's among the top 10 cornerbacks available in the upcoming draft.
