Dynamic Duos - Saturday's Top Teammate Plays

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Here are the top line-stacking options for Saturday's nine-game NHL slate:

W Alex Ovechkin & C Nicklas Backstom, Capitals (vs. Canadiens)

The Canadiens are in a tailspin without Carey Price. 1-9 in their last ten and having given up 29 goals in that span, DFS players should look to exploit them.

Though Backstrom and Ovechkin will cost you a pretty penny, their matchup is simply too good to ignore.

In the last ten games, Backstrom has actually out-produced Ovechkin, picking up 11 points compared to Ovechkin's eight. That fact is also true in a seasonal comparison, as Backstrom has 31 points in 30 games while Ovechkin has 30 points in 32 games.

C Steven Stamkos & W Nikita Kucherov, Lightning (vs. Blue Jackets)

Kucherov has been on fire of late with 11 points in his last ten and hitting the score sheet in eight of those ten games. Stamkos may not be producing at his normal clip but a matchup against the lowly Blue Jackets works in his favor.

Having surrendered 18 goals in their last four games, the Blue Jackets are ripe for the DFS picking.

As a combo, Stamkos and Kucherov will require a significant amount of your DFS salary but not to the same extent as Backstrom and Ovechkin.

C Anze Kopitar & W Milan Lucic, Kings (at Coyotes)

Kopitar and Lucic have a great matchup against the Coyotes with goalie Mike Smith out of action.

The Coyotes already surrender the second-most goals (3.15) and are now forced into starting Louis Domingue. Saturday's tilt will only be Domingue's seventh career start.

Kopitar and Lucic could provide great value if they are able to produce, as their combined salary is easy to handle.
