Jimmy Butler on career-high 43 points: 'I don't care'

Chicago Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler poured in a Herculean effort in Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

Butler scored a career-high 43 points, including 13 in the fourth overtime of a 147-144 quadruple-overtime loss at United Center. And although he nearly sent the contest to a fifth overtime, none of that mattered to a despondent Butler.

It must have been painful to lose, especially after playing an unthinkable 56 minutes, but Butler did everything in his power for his team to get the win. And had it not been for Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond's combined 64-point effort, Butler's heroics would have probably pulled out the win.

But alas, a loss is a loss, and to put in such effort, only to come away empty-handed, is dispiriting to say the least.
