Report: Bulls' Dunleavy out at least 4-6 weeks following setback
The Chicago Bulls will apparently be without veteran sharpshooter Mike Dunleavy for at least another month.
Dunleavy met with specialists for his back injury who determined that he needs another four-to-six weeks to recover before returning to on-court activities, Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The 35-year-old Dunleavy underwent back surgery two months ago and was expected to be out 8-to-10 weeks.
The Bulls previously announced that a setback in Dunleavy's recovery would delay his return by an additional two weeks.
Dunleavy's continued absence exacerbates the Bulls' lack of reliable 3-point shooting. The Bulls rank 25th in 3-pointers made despite ranking fourth in 3-point percentage.
The Bulls re-signed Dunleavy to a three-year deal worth a reported $14.4 million in the offseason. He averaged 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists last season while shooting 40.7 percent from deep.
