DFS: Friday's Shooting Guard Value Rankings

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Here are theScore's shooting guard value rankings for Friday, December 4:

Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Eric Bledsoe (PHX) at WAS 9
Tyreke Evans (NO) vs. CLE 9
Bradley Beal (WAS) vs. PHX 8
James Harden (HOU) at DAL 8

Having shares of Bledsoe and Beal in a game expected to be an offensive shoutout should provide DFSers a solid return. Both players will see a low ownership percentage due to a pile of shares in Harden.

The Pelicans offense is rejuvenated with the return of Evans; he should be fired up in tournaments as a low-cost SG with an extremely high ceiling.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Khris Middleton (MIL) at DET 7
Arron Afflalo (NY) vs. BKN 7
J.R Smith (CLE) at NO 6
Kyle Korver (ATL) vs. LAL 6

On this slim six-game slate, Korver is a great value play with a plum matchup against the Lakers. If his shot falls on Friday night, a staggering return could be in the cards.

Smith is due for a huge game against the atrocious Pelicans defense while Afflalo and Middleton have yet to become consistent DFS plays, but their matchups and price tag are tough to pass-up.

Name Opponent Value
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET) vs. MIL 5
Jordan Clarkson (LAL) at ATL 5
Wesley Matthews (DAL) vs. HOU 4
Kobe Bryant (LAL)  at ATL 4

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Eric Gordon (NO) vs. CLE 3
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (BKN) at NY 2
Nick Young (LAL) at ATL 1

The aforementioned Evans is being favored over Gordon in the starting rotation, leaving Gordon as the sixth man. Fading him would be a wise choice without knowing how he will respond to his new role.
