DFS: Friday's Center Value Rankings

Perry Nelson / USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's center value rankings for Friday, November 27:

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Leon Draisaitl (EDM) at DET 10
Martin Hanzal (ARI) vs. CGY 10
Frans Nielsen (NYI) at FLA 9
Henrik Sedin (VAN) at DAL 9
John Tavares (NYI) at FLA 8

Daisaitl will be the best value play as long as he's discounted, which should not be much longer. Hanzal, while mostly a playmaker this season, has been nearly a PPG player. He's also scored four goals in the last 10, so his shot has improved. Nielsen and Sedin are inexpensive and have been productive, with the latter tallying nearly a point a game.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Boone Jenner (CLB) vs. PIT 7
Dylan Larkin (DET) vs. EDM 7
Pavel Datsyuk (DET) vs. EDM 7
Henrik Zetterberg (DET) vs. EDM 7
Tyler Seguin (DAL) vs. VAN 6
Evgeni Malkin (PIT) at CLB 6
Sidney Crosby (PIT) at CLB 6
Tomas Plekanec (MTL) at NJ 6

Any of the Detroit centers are worth considering against Edmonton, with Larkin the least expensive. Seguin is third in points and his salary has followed suit. Plekanec keeps on trucking as he's gotten points in eight of his last nine games, including three assists against the Rangers. He's playing above career projections, but any reticence could completely vanish soon.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Jason Spezza (DAL) vs. VAN 5
Jack Eichel (BUF) vs. CAR 4
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (EDM) at DET 3

With a plethora of middle of the road options, Spezza drops a bit. He's borderline, though, and an argument can be made based on how consistent he's been. His average ice time could be worrying - around 17 minutes - but he's been making it work. Neither Eichel nor Nugent-Hopkins are worth taking fliers on.
