The New York Rangers were outshot once again, but improved to 16-3-2 on the season thanks to yet another masterful performance by the King.

Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves for his second shutout of the season as the Rangers blanked the Nashville Predators 3-0.

The 33-year-old has been nothing short of exceptional all season long, emerging as an early Hart Trophy candidate with a record of 12-3-2, to go along with a ridiculous league-leading 1.74 GAA and .946 save percentage.

Rick Nash followed up an impressive hat trick with a beautiful individual effort for his sixth goal of the season, which stood up as the eventual game-winner. Derek Stepan and Kevin Hayes added third-period goals to put the game out of reach.

New York now sits tied atop the Eastern Conference standing with the Montreal Canadiens at 34 points. The two original six clubs will face off in a highly anticipated tilt Wednesday.

Nashville is suddenly trending downward after their third consecutive shutout defeat. They'll look to finally put the puck in the net Wednesday when they take on the Buffalo Sabres.
