Blue Jackets block 14 shots in 1st period

The Columbus Blue Jackets are making plenty of sacrifices in Friday's game against the Nashville Predators.

The Blue Jackets blocked 14 shots in the opening frame:

Columbus scored on its first two shots of the contest on goals by Gregory Campbell and Ryan Johansen, but the Blue Jackets were then out-shot 10-3 over the rest of the period.

Columbus lost a pair of defensemen for the night, as Cody Goloubef's night ended after he blocked a shot and Fedor Tyutin exited with an undisclosed ailment.
