Here's Johnny.

The Cleveland Browns are making the switch to Johnny Manziel as their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, sending Josh McCown to the bench.

The 2014 first-round pick acquitted himself well in the Browns' 30-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, a game he started for the injured McCown, throwing for a career-high 372 yards.

Manziel told reporters afterward he believes he's improving.

"I want to keep playing," Manziel said, per Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer. "Every game that I play, I keep learning, and I feel like things keep slowing down, I keep getting better."

With a 2-8 record, the Browns will send the 36-year-old McCown to the bench to get a better look at their possible future.

With an early pick in the 2016 draft seemingly inevitable (the Browns would pick first overall if the season ended today), the team will likely have the option to select a new franchise passer. Starting Manziel now will provide the front office with a larger sample size with which to evaluate his play after the season.

The Browns are on a bye this week, providing the ideal timetable to turn things over to Manziel on a permanent basis and put him in the best position to win.

If he doesn't, it's possible neither he, head coach Mike Pettine, nor general manager Ray Farmer will be back with the team next season.
