DFS: Week 10 NFC Target Tracker

Bob Donnan / USA TODAY Sports

Here's a team-by-team look at the most targeted players in the NFC through Week 9 (click here for AFC targets):

Arizona Cardinals

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Larry Fitzgerald 0 (BYE) 70 8.75
John Brown 0 (BYE) 51 637
Michael Floyd 0 (BYE) 38 4.75
David Johnson 0 (BYE) 23 2.87
Darren Fells 0 (BYE) 12 2.4

The Cardinals will return from their bye to face Seattle in Week 10. Floyd is expected to be the WR2 rather than Brown, as he has been extremely productive since returning from an early season injury.

Atlanta Falcons

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Julio Jones 17 119 13.22
Devonta Freeman 10 62 6.88
Jacob Tamme 10 53 5.88
Leonard Hankerson 0 (inactive) 39 6.5
Roddy White 2 30 3.33

Tamme has 22 targets in the past two weeks due to the absence of Hankerson, whose status is unknown for Week 10. Freeman is a great option at running back for PPR DFS formats.

Carolina Panthers

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Greg Olsen 7 69 8.62
Ted Ginn Jr. 4 51 6.37
Corey Brown 4 27 3.28
Devin Funchess 4 25 3
Jerricho Cotchery 6 21 2.5

Cam Newton spread the ball effectively in Week 9 but found Olsen for his fifth touchdown reception of the season. The Panthers receivers are best suited for GPP games, while Olsen fits both cash and GPP games.

Chicago Bears

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Martellus Bennett 9 67 8.37
Alshon Jeffery 16 53 13.25
Eddie Royal 0 (inactive) 36 6
Matt Forte 0 (inactive) 36 5.14
Marquess Wilson 3 36 4.5

Without Forte, Jay Cutler will be looking to Bennett and Jeffery almost every time. Cutler threw 25 of his 40 attempts their way in Week 9. Because of their heavy targets, Bennett and Jeffery are DFS options in both cash and GPPs.

Dallas Cowboys

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Jason Witten 8 57 7.12
Terrance Williams 5 47 5.87
Cole Beasley 11 41 5.12
Darren McFadden 2 25 3.12
Dez Bryant 8 21 7

Bryant saw a healthy amount of action but it was Beasley who was the top receiver for Dallas. With Tony Romo coming back in the near future expect Bryant and Witten to be the top options.

Detroit Lions

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Calvin Johnson 0 (BYE) 78 9.75
Golden Tate 0 (BYE) 69 8.62
Eric Ebron 0 (BYE) 33 5.5
Lance Moore 0 (BYE) 32 4
Ameer Abdullah 0 (BYE) 27 3.37

The Lions will travel to Green Bay in Week 10. Targets in Detroit are split between Johnson and Tate but the volatility of the offense makes both better suited for GPP games.

Green Bay Packers

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Randall Cobb 12 68 8.5
Richard Rodgers 9 43 5.37
James Jones 6 37 4.62
Davante Adams 11 28 5.6
Ty Montgomery 0 (inactive) 19 3.8

Though Cobb saw a season high in targets, Aaron Rodgers continues to do an effective job of spreading the wealth among his receivers. Picking the top performer here can be extremely difficult week in and week out.

Minnesota Vikings

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Mike Wallace 6 48 6
Stefon Diggs 5 45 9.6
Kyle Rudolph 2 34 4.25
Jarius Wright 3 24 3
Charles Johnson 2 13 2.16

The Vikings passing game continues to be ineffective as Teddy Bridgewater threw for 144 yards in a Week 9 victory. DFS players should only look to Diggs in GPP games.

New Orleans Saints

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Brandin Cooks 6 70 7.77
Willie Snead 10 63 7
Benjamin Watson 5 53 5.88
Marques Colston 3 43 5.37
Mark Ingram 5 42 4.66

Drew Brees has attempted 89 passes the past two weeks, making all the New Orleans receivers solid DFS picks. However, with all of these options to choose from, DFS players are rolling the dice when trying to determine which will be the most productive.

New York Giants

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Odell Beckham Jr. 17 90 10
Rueben Randle 5 51 5.66
Shane Vereen 4 44 4.88
Larry Donnell 0 (inactive) 41 5.12
Dwayne Harris 3 31 3.44

Beckham Jr. has been and continues to be the main option in New York. Though Randle snagged a touchdown in Week 9, he only had 40 receiving yards. Beckham Jr. is rosterable in both cash and GPP formats.

Philadelphia Eagles

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Jordan Matthews 12 75 9.37
Zach Ertz 6 48 6
Darren Sproles 3 38 4.75
Riley Cooper 0 23 3.2
Nelson Agholor 0 (inactive) 17 4.25

Matthews caught a 41-yard touchdown pass in overtime, providing a strong return for DFS owners in Week 9. His 75 targets indicate potential, but his production simply comes down to whether or not he and the Philly offense can execute.

San Francisco 49ers

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Anquan Boldin 0 (inactive) 54 7.71
Torrey Smith 4 45 5
Quinton Patton 5 28 3.11
Carlos Hyde 0 (inactive) 15 2.14

The 49ers pulled off the upset of the week, topping Atlanta 17-16. Blaine Gabbert has already been named the starter coming out of the Week 10 bye, rendering San Francisco's receiving options unplayable in DFS.

Seattle Seahawks

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Jimmy Graham 0 (BYE) 55 6.87
Doug Baldwin 0 (BYE) 40 5
Jermaine Kearse 0 (BYE) 31 3.87
Tyler Lockette 0 (BYE) 28 3.5
Marshawn Lynch 0 (BYE) 19 3.16

The Seahawks host the Cardinals in Week 10. As has been the story all year, the receivers in Seattle are limited to GPP games, while predicting Graham's production continues to be a guessing game.

St. Louis Rams

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Tavon Austin 7 46 5.75
Jared Cook 3 38 4.75
Kenny Britt 5 31 3.87
Stedman Bailey 4 25 3.12

Wes Welker will join the Rams as Bailey has been suspended for the next four games. However, DFS players should look at plenty of other options before selecting a St. Louis receiver. Only Austin is legitimate candidate and is limited to GPP play.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Mike Evans 19 73 12.25
Vincent Jackson 0 (inactive) 40 6.66
Charles Sims 2 28 3.5
Louis Murphy 0 (inactive) 18 3
Austin Seferian-Jenkins 0 (inactive) 10 2

Evans saw a whopping 19 targets in Week 9. Jackson, Murphy, and Jenkins were all out for the contest. However, Jackson and Jenkins may return in Week 10, which will almost certainly bring down Evans' target tally.

Washington Redskins

NAME WEEK 9 TOTAL AVG
Pierre Garcon 8 65 8.12
Jordan Reed 7 54 9
Jamison Crowder 8 50 6.25
Ryan Grant 0 31 3.87
Andre Roberts 2 23 3.28

DeSean Jackson returned in Week 9 and saw seven targets. Jackson will likely be a contrarian pick in Week 10 as he did little last week. Reed may be a solid option at tight end against the Saints' poor pass defense.
