DFS: Friday's Goaltender Value Rankings

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Here are theScore's goaltender value rankings for Friday, November 6:

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

# Name Opponent Risk
1 Frederik Andersen (ANA) vs. CLB Low
2 Kari Lehtonen (DAL) at CAR Low
3 Henrik Lundqvist (NYR) at COL Low
4 Cory Schneider (NJ) vs. CHI Medium
5 Petr Mrazek (DET) at TOR Medium

Andersen gets a home game against the Blue Jackets. He may not have the wins, but Andersen has all the peripheral stats to make him a decent DFS option. With the matchup against Columbus being the most favorable on the slate, he's the best play.

Niemi and Lundqvist follow despite being on the road. They match up really well against their competition and shouldn't face much trouble. Niemi's lower price tag makes him a more appealing value option. Petr Mrazek is worth a look in Toronto as the Leafs continue to be terrible.

# Name Opponent Risk
6 Corey Crawford (CHI) at NJ Medium
7 Jeff Zatkoff (PIT) at EDM Medium
8 Anders Nilsson (EDM) vs. PIT High
9 Reto Berra (COL) vs. NYR High
10 Eddie Lack (CAR) vs. DAL High
11 Curtis McElhinney (CLB) at ANA High
12 James Reimer (TOR) vs. DET High

Zatkoff has a strong team in front of him making him an appealing option despite his limited NHL experience. As well, Edmonton still has Taylor Hall, who has been scoring at will most of the season.

That said, don't go for his opposite in Edmonton. While Nilsson, Berra and Ward all have home-ice advantage, they aren't really worth their risks. The opposing offenses carry too much firepower, especially the Stars. McElhinney is an interesting proposition since the Ducks can't score, but Columbus can't be trusted to generate much offense itself.
