The Kansas City Royals are one win away from their first World Series title since 1985, but their road traveled hasn't been easy.

With another late-game rally in Game 4 to stun the New York Mets on Saturday, the resilient Royals won their sixth game of the postseason when trailing by multiple runs, tying the record set by the New York Yankees in 1996.

"That's just what our team does. We feel like if we can keep the game close, we're going to find a way to win it," manager Ned Yost said after the Royals' 5-3 win. "Our bullpen is so dynamic, they give us a chance to win those type of games. And it's a team that just looks for a little crack. If we find a little crack, they're going to make something happen."

The Royals lead the league with 47 runs scored in the seventh inning or later this postseason, while the Mets sit in second with 11. Kansas City's latest comeback - triggered by Daniel Murphy's costly error during the Royals' three-run eighth - pushed the Mets to the brink of elimination.

"We certainly talked about it before, they truly don't ever stop," Mets manager Terry Collins said about the Royals. "They have very good lineup from top to bottom. They can do a lot of things. They're athletic. So like I say, you've got to make pitches and you've got to get outs when you have the opportunity."
