Alcides Escobar's torrid postseason continued in Game 3 of the World Series on Friday.
The scorching-hot Kansas City Royals shortstop recorded his 21st hit of the playoffs with a single in the second inning off Mets starter Noah Syndergaard, setting a new franchise record for most postseason hits.
Escobar also pushed his postseason hitting streak to 13, tying a franchise mark set by teammate Lorenzo Cain earlier this month, and is a game shy of tying the longest hitting streak in postseason history.
