Calgary Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller isn't likely to play again until early November.
Flames head coach Bob Hartley said Friday that Hiller will miss at least a week after suffering a lower-body injury in Wednesday's loss to the Ottawa Senators on a collision with Senators forward Bobby Ryan.
Joni Ortio replaced Hiller in the game and stopped all five shots he faced in regulation and overtime before falling in the shootout.
Ortio will start Friday night against the Montreal Canadiens, while Karri Ramo was recalled from the AHL's Stockton Heat on Thursday evening.
Calgary has four games over the next seven days, in which they'll face the Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche, and Philadelphia Flyers.
