David Price may have silenced some of his own personal postseason demons on Friday in Game 6 of the ALCS, but it wasn't enough to help the Toronto Blue Jays' season from ending.

The 30-year-old left-hander pitched 6 2/3 innings of five-hit ball to keep his team's season alive, but his first-ever postseason win as a starter still eludes him.

"I didn't get a win and we didn't win, but what happens in October does not define who I am," he said of the Blue Jays' 4-3 loss.

With Price eligible for free agency, and possibly the biggest contract of his career, the southpaw said his time with the Blue Jays was "very special," but admitted he has yet to make a decision on next season.

"I don't know yet," Price said. "It's not something I've thought about."

Teammate Jose Bautista would love to see Price return to Toronto, but he's sure every team in baseball would be interested in having him as part of their team, and if not "You better have them checked ... psychologist or psychiatrist."

After finishing the regular season with an 18-5 record and 2.45 ERA split between the Blue Jays and the Detroit Tigers, Price will join a free agent market that includes starting pitchers Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, Marco Estrada, and potentially National League Cy Young candidate Zack Greinke if he opts out of the final year of his current deal.

Price earned $19.75 million in 2015.
