DFS: Week 7 Running Back Value Rankings
Here are theScore's running back value rankings for Week 7 (Thursday night and Sunday morning games excluded):
Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top 5
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Todd Gurley (STL) | vs. CLE | Low |
2 | Devonta Freeman (ATL) | at TEN | Low |
3 | Latavius Murray (OAK) | at SD | Low |
4 | Doug Martin (TEN) | at WAS | Low |
5 | Adrian Peterson (MIN) | at DET | Low |
Gurley's two lines prior to St. Louis' Week 6 bye: 19-146 and 30-159. He's the Rams' unquestioned No. 1 offensive option against a visiting Browns defense that ranks among the worst in the league. He's also significantly cheaper than Freeman, who should continue his incredible run even while facing the stingy Titans. Murray and Martin have plus matchups, while Peterson is a stud.

Next 5
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
6 | Lamar Miller (MIA) | vs. HOU | Low |
7 | Chris Ivory (NYJ) | at NE | Low |
8 | Le'Veon Bell (PIT) | at KC | Low |
9 | Frank Gore (IND) | vs. NO | Low |
10 | Arian Foster (HOU) | at MIA | Low |
Fresh off his best game of the season, Miller appears to have a larger role in Miami's post-Joe Philbin offense - and that bodes well for him at his low DFS salary. Bell should remain the focal point of the Steelers' offense regardless of who lines up at QB this week, but he takes a hit with Landry Jones under center. Gore should thrive against a porous Saints run defense.

Best of the Rest
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
11 | Mark Ingram (NO) | at IND | Medium |
12 | DeMarco Murray (PHI) | at CAR | Medium |
13 | Christine Michael (DAL) | at NYG | Medium |
14 | Danny Woodhead (SD) | vs. OAK | Medium |
15 | LeGarrette Blount (NE) | vs. NYJ | Medium |
16 | Jonathan Stewart (CAR) | vs. PHI | Medium |
17 | Theo Riddick (DET) | vs. MIN | Medium |
18 | Justin Forsett (BAL) | at ARI | Medium |
19 | Dion Lewis (NE) | vs. NYJ | Medium |
20 | Chris Johnson (ARI) | vs. BAL | Medium |
Michael could be in line to get the start for the Cowboys in their Week 7 encounter with the rival Giants, which would make him the low-salary pick of the week. Monitor the situation closely. Lions pass-catching back Riddick could be an intriguing option against the Vikings; Ameer Abdullah has a bad case of the fumbles, while Joique Bell isn't yet at full strength.

Nothing to See Here
# | NAME | OPPONENT | RISK |
---|---|---|---|
21 | Rashad Jennings (NYG) | vs. DAL | High |
22 | Charcandrick West (KC) | vs. PIT | High |
23 | Andre Ellington (ARI) | vs. BAL | High |
24 | Joseph Randle (DAL) | at NYG | High |
25 | Shane Vereen (NYG) | vs. DAL | High |
26 | Antonio Andrews (TEN) | vs. ATL | High |
27 | Alfred Morris (WAS) | vs. TB | High |
28 | Melvin Gordon (SD) | vs. OAK | High |
29 | Knile Davis (KC) | vs. PIT | High |
30 | Isaiah Crowell (CLE) | at STL | High |
Jennings gets a slight nod over Vereen by virtue of his lower price tag, while West remains the top option in Kansas City over Davis - as long as he can keep the fumbles in check. Andrews has a plus matchup against the visiting Falcons, and may be the best of a mediocre bunch. Gordon has fallen completely out of favor in San Diego after fumbling twice last week.
