Here's a team-by-team look at the most targeted players in the NFC through Week 3 (click here for AFC targets):

Arizona Cardinals

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Larry Fitzgerald 11 28 9.33
John Brown 5 17 5.66
Darren Fells 2 7 2.66
David Johnson 3 8 2.33

The Carson Palmer-to-Fitzgerald connection is thriving, resulting in back-to-back superb weeks for Fitzgerald. Based on his 9.33 average, Fitzgerald is returning to WR1 status after falling into WR2 territory the past few years.

Atlanta Falcons

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Julio Jones 20 46 15.33
Leonard Hankerson 6 21 7
Devonta Freeman 5 17 5.66
Roddy White 0 9 3

Jones and White are going in completely opposite directions. Jones has 35 targets in Weeks 2 and 3 while White has just one single target. The ascension of Hankerson could be upon us as he has 17 in the last two weeks.

Carolina Panthers

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Greg Olsen 11 28 9.66
Ted Ginn Jr. 6 22 7.33
Jerricho Cotchery 0 (inactive) 7 2.33
Jonathan Stewart 1 6 2

Olsen and Ginn Jr. are the two real options for Cam Newton. Since the end of Week 1, Carolina promised to get Olsen back into the passing game and has done done so - targeting him 25 times in the past two weeks.

Chicago Bears

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Martellus Bennett 5 18 6
Eddie Royal 3 16 5.33
Matt Forte 3 16 5.33
Alshon Jeffery 0 (inactive) 11 3.66

Injuries to Jeffery and Cutler have put the Bears' passing game in disarray. Though there is an equal target distribution, this team is a total mess and should be avoided in DFS until Cutler and Jeffery return.

Dallas Cowboys

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Jason Witten 8 25 8.33
Lance Dunbar 10 23 7.66
Terrance Williams 2 17 5.66
Cole Beasley 4 15 5

Similar to the Bears, the Cowboys are without their QB and WR. Witten is the best bet for targets out of this mediocre receiving group.

Detroit Lions

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Calvin Johnson 13 34 11.33
Golden Tate 7 25 8.33
Eric Ebron 5 20 6.66
Ameer Abdullah 5 10 3.33

After only seeing four targets in Week 1, Johnson has seen 17 and 13 in Week 2 and 3, respectively. Ebron has become a legitimate option in Detroit and is the sixth-most targeted tight end in the league.

Green Bay Packers

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Randall Cobb 12 28 9.33
Davante Adams 2 15 5
James Jones 8 15 5
Richard Rodgers 4 11 3.66

Aaron Rodgers dominated the Chiefs on Monday; without Jordy Nelson, Cobb has seized the WR1 position as expected. Cobb also gets red zone targets, making him extremely appealing in DFS.

Minnesota Vikings

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Kyle Rudolph 5 19 6.33
Mike Wallace 4 14 4.66
Jarius Wright 4 10 3.33
Charles Johnson 2 8 2.66

Minnesota ranks dead last in passing yards per game with a 149.7 average - and judging by their receiving core, that rank is no surprise. Right now, none of the receivers are DFS options while Kyle Rudolph is a decent cash game option based on his targets.

New Orleans Saints

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Brandin Cooks 8 23 7.66
Marques Colston 6 18 6
Mark Ingram 5 17 5.66
Brandon Coleman 3 16 5.33

In Week 4, the Saints could be in line for their first win as they face the Cowboys with Drew Brees optimistic to return. Specific to receivers, the only reliable options out this group are Cooks and Ingram.

New York Giants

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Odell Beckham Jr. 9 29 9.66
Larry Donnell 6 16 5.33
Shane Vereen 3 16 5.33
Rueben Randle 7 14 4.66

Victor Cruz's name should return to this chart soon as he is expected to make his season debut in Week 4. However, Beckham Jr. is by far and away the only reliable DFS option here.

Philadelphia Eagles

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Jordan Matthews 8 30 10
Darren Sproles 6 19 6.33
Zach Ertz 2 17 5.66
Nelson Agholor 4 12 4

Rookie Agholor has still yet to be significantly involved in the Philadelphia passing game. Right now, Matthews is the only receiver in Philadelphia to be a DFS option.

San Francisco 49ers

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Anquan Boldin 4 19 6.33
Vernon Davis 2 15 5
Torrey Smith 2 12 4
Carlos Hyde 1 7 2.33

The 49ers have been blown out two weeks in a row and head to Green Bay in Week 4. From a DFS standpoint, you are almost selecting San Francisco players in hipes they get blown out in the first half and take to the air in the second half.

Seattle Seahawks

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Doug Baldwin 3 20 6.66
Jermaine Kearse 6 18 6
Jimmy Graham 8 18 6
Marshawn Lynch 1 14 4.66

The Seahawks' equal distribution is a testament to their mediocre receiving corps. Graham was more involved in Week 3 and should soon end up as the first or second name on this chart. Seahawks receivers probably shouldn't be used in DFS.

St. Louis Rams

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Kenny Britt 10 17 5.66
Jared Cook 3 16 5.33
Benny Cunningham 2 15 5
Stedman Bailey 1 9 3

Britt and Cook are the best options in the 29th ranked Rams passing game. With Todd Gurley slowly being worked into the offense, expect Cunningham's usage to drop.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Vincent Jackson 4 20 6.66
Mike Evans 17 20 6.66
Austin Seferian-Jenkins 0 (inactive) 10 3.33
Charles Sims 2 10 3.33

17 targets for Evans in Week 3 is something to take note of for all DFS players. Evans will soon be at the top of this chart but an inaccurate Jameis Winston does limit his value to some extent.

Washington Redskins

NAME WEEK 3 TOTAL AVG
Pierre Garcon 12 27 9
Jordan Reed 9 26 8.66
Ryan Grant 5 13 4.33
Andrew Roberts 3 8 2.66

This chart still lacks No. 1 option DeSean Jackson but he could return in Week 4. Assuming he returns, expect Garcon's and Reed's targets to drop slightly. However, Reed is still a solid TE option as he has seen 11, 6, and 9 targets to start the year.
